Adidas Superstar - Star Wars Darth Vader

In 2020, Star Wars and adidas Originals celebrated the 40th anniversary of The Empire Strikes Back with commemorative silhouettes, and the latest style to debut is a Darth Vader-inspired Superstar. Joining the Luke Skywalker Stan Smith, Stormtrooper NMD R1, Lando Calrissian NMD R1 V2, and Boba Fett Top Ten Hi models, the feared Sith Lord’s Superstar draws inspiration from his attire, facial expression, and famous quotes, offering a detailed tribute to one of sci-fi’s most iconic villains. The upper is crafted from sharp matte black leather with embroidered stitching and features black patent leather 3-Stripes graphics—reminiscent of Vader's outfit’s color and texture. The "Superstar" logo appears in red on the outer side, while the Galactic Empire logo is featured on the red heel tab. The tongues showcase a portrait of Vader as a former Jedi in red, white, and black colors, while the insoles feature another embossed graphic. Most striking are the rubber toe caps on the upper, which are highlighted with textured detailing resembling Vader’s mask and helmet, with elements of the helmet standing out from the base. The black metal shoe lace charms are interchangeable: wearers can choose between a "Star Wars" logo or a combination of Vader’s helmet and the Death Star. Finally, the most iconic line from The Empire Strikes Back—"I am your father"—is printed on the transparent sole.
